Lacey Wilson Obituary, Death – The Stanton and Norfolk communities are coming together to honor the life and memory of Lacey R. Wilson-Kluender, whose passing on June 5, 2026, has brought profound sorrow to family members, friends, colleagues, and all who were fortunate enough to know her.

Lacey’s death marks the loss of a woman whose life was defined by kindness, loyalty, and a deep appreciation for the relationships she built throughout her journey. While those who loved her mourn her absence, they also celebrate the many gifts she shared with the world during her 46 years.

Born in McCook, Nebraska, on January 28, 1980, Lacey was raised in a family that remained central to her life from childhood through adulthood. Her educational path took her through schools in Kansas and Nebraska before graduating from McCook High School in 1998. Along the way, she developed lifelong friendships and a reputation as someone who was supportive, compassionate, and dependable.

Her participation in athletics, particularly track and softball, reflected qualities that would remain with her throughout life—determination, teamwork, perseverance, and a positive attitude. Those experiences helped shape the person she became and contributed to the strong character admired by so many.

Lacey continued her education at McCook Community College and the University of Nebraska at Kearney, always seeking opportunities to learn and grow. She approached each chapter of life with enthusiasm and an open heart, embracing new experiences while maintaining strong connections with those she cared about.

Perhaps the most cherished chapter of her life began when she married Brandon Kluender, her best friend and partner in every sense of the word. Their wedding in Southport, Maine, was a celebration of a love built on trust, friendship, and shared dreams. Together, they created a life filled with adventure, laughter, and countless treasured memories.

Friends often admired the bond Lacey and Brandon shared. Whether traveling, attending concerts, watching Broadway productions, or exploring favorite restaurants, they found joy simply in spending time together. Their relationship was a reflection of genuine companionship and enduring love.

Lacey’s professional life reflected the same passion and commitment she demonstrated in her personal relationships. She approached every position with enthusiasm and dedication, earning the admiration of coworkers and community members alike. Her involvement in opening District Table and Tap showcased her willingness to work hard and contribute to projects that brought people together.

Yet it was Lacey’s personal qualities that left the deepest impression on those around her. She was known for her gentle demeanor, compassionate heart, and ability to make others feel cared for. Her kindness was never performative; it was simply who she was.

Whether comforting a friend, celebrating someone’s success, or offering support during difficult times, Lacey consistently put others before herself. Her empathy and understanding made her a trusted confidante and beloved friend.

Her love for animals was another defining aspect of her life. Auggie, Poppy, Pearl, and Benny were not simply pets; they were cherished members of her family. Caring for them brought her tremendous joy and reflected the nurturing spirit that touched every part of her life.

Family gatherings were among Lacey’s favorite occasions. She loved spending time with relatives, attending sporting events for her nieces and nephews, and creating memories that would be treasured for years to come. Her presence brought warmth to every celebration and comfort during every challenge.

As loved ones prepare to gather in remembrance, they do so carrying both sorrow and gratitude—sorrow for the loss they now face and gratitude for having been blessed by Lacey’s presence.

The service celebrating her life will provide an opportunity for family, friends, and community members to honor her memory and reflect on the many ways she enriched their lives. Though her physical presence is gone, the lessons she taught through her example remain.

Lacey Wilson-Kluender leaves behind a legacy rooted in kindness, compassion, faith, and love. Her influence continues through the family she adored, the friendships she nurtured, and the countless lives she touched through her generosity of spirit.

As those who loved her move forward, they do so with the knowledge that Lacey’s memory will remain a guiding light. She will be remembered for her beautiful heart, her unwavering devotion to family, and the joy she brought to those fortunate enough to know her.

Her life was a testament to the power of kindness and connection, and her legacy will endure for generations to come. May her memory forever be a blessing, and may she rest in eternal peace.
